The Discovery Research and Preclinical Development Group at Merck has multiple opportunities for summer internship positions for undergraduate students with an interest in Infectious Diseases. Positions are hands-on laboratory-based roles performing basic research within a premier drug-discovery organization.
This position is based in West Point, PA. No housing will be provided.
Job Title: Biology Intern (Early Discovery Vaccines)
Qualification: Currently enrolled bachelor’s degree student pursuing a degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related Biological sciences
Preferred: Minimum GPA of 3.0
Requirements:
- Must have completed at least 4 semesters of college curriculum
- Must be available for a period of 9-12 weeks, beginning June 2016.
- Clear demonstration of prior Undergraduate research experience
- Basic knowledge in Biochemistry/enzymology, molecular biology, Microbiology, or immunology
- Self-motivated, energetic, organized, good communication skills and willing to work in a laboratory setting
- Must be returning to school in Fall 2016
