The ICGEB is an international, nonprofit research organization. Established as a special project of UNIDO, it became fully autonomous in 1994 and now counts over 60 Member States. ONE Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDF/RA) position is available in the DBT--ICGEB Centre for Advanced Bioenergy Research in the following area:
- Position : Postdoctoral Research Associate
- Project : “Systems biology of cyanobacteria for improved biofuel production”
- PI : Dr. Shireesh Srivastava
- Job Description : The work involves characterization of indigenous marine cyanobacteria for growth and product formation characteristics. Additionally, systems biology and metabolic engineering strategies will be applied to increase production of biofuel candidates from model cyanobacteria
- Desired : The applicant must be PhD in Biological sciences and have good hands--on experience of culturing cyanobacteria. They must be familiar with basic molecular biology techniques and have preferably applied genetic engineering in cyanobacterial systems. Knowledge of systems biology approaches such as metabolomics, genomics/transcriptomics or Flux analysis would be desirable.
