SRF vacancy in Dept of Ocular Pathology, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai

Sankara Nethralaya (SN) is a not-for-profit missionary institution for ophthalmic care (i.e., an eye hospital) in Chennai, India. Vision Research Foundation (VRF) is its research unit. VRF is premier work in the areas of ocular infections, cataract, tumours, angiogenesis and genetic basis of eye diseases and pathobiology of other ophthalmic disorders.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following post in the DBT funded project titled “miRNA in Retinoblastoma progression, biomarkers and novel Aptamer-miRNA therapeutics”, under Team Leader Dr. S. Krishnakumar Project No: BT/01/CEIB/11/V/16 to be implemented at the Department of Pathology. The post is purely temporary for a period of 3 1/2 years.

• Position : Senior Research Fellow
• No of Post : One

• Desired Profile :M.Sc Life sciences/ M. Tech with 2 years experience and publications to prove the same. Candidate should have prior experience in working with miRNA.
• Experience : Candidates must have cleared any of the National level exams like CSIR-NET/ ICMR/ GATE.
• Salary : Rs.18,000+30% HRA
• Age : Below 35 years
