The National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM) is a premier autonomous Institution under the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India with the mandate (Defenders) to promote; environmentally sustainable Plant Health Management practices in diverse and changing agro-climatic conditions; Pesticide Management and Biosecurity & Incursion Management through capacity building programmes; and extend policy support to Central and State Governments. The main focus of Plant Health Management programmes of the NIPHM is to promote agro-ecosystem analysis (AESA) based Plant Health Management in conjunction with Ecological Engineering (EE) through Farmer Field Schools (FFS), which takes into account the intricate interdependence among various components of an ecosystem, to promote biointensive approaches.

WALK IN INTERVIEW
Walk-in-Interview will be held from 9.00 a.m. on the date mentioned below at National Institute of Plant Health Management, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad for engagement of following positions on contractual basis. The engagement will be initially for a period of One year or till requirement whichever is earlier. The details of educational qualifications, experience, age and other eligibility criteria, along with application proforma are given below. The eligible candidates for the below mentioned contractual posts will be required to make a power point presentation for 15 minutes duration (on the topic of their field) followed by interview. Qualification: 1)PhD degree in the relevant subject such as Research related to pesticide, pesticide residue and chromatographer analysis / in Agricultural Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Bio Chemistry/ Bio-technology/Environmental Science / Microbiology / Botany. or 2) Masters degree in any of the above subject(s) with 1st Division OR 60% marks or equivalent overall GPA and with minimum 4 years of research experience in residue analysis.

Salary: 1. Research Associates i. For candidates possessing Master Degree Holders and Doctoral Degree (Ph.D) in the relevant subject. Rs. 40,000 per month + 30% HRA
ii. For candidates possessing Master’s degree in the relevant subject with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Train
iii.For Others (i.e for candidates possessing qualifications other than the above) Rs. 23000 per month + 30% HRA
2. Senior Research Fellow i. For candidates possessing Master’s degree in the relevant subject with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree. OR For candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification. Rs. 25000/- per month + 30% HRA for 1st and 2nd year. Rs. 28000/- per month + 30% HRA for 3rd year
ii. For Others (i.e for candidates possessing qualifications other than the above) Rs. 16,000 per month+ 30% HRA
3. Junior Research Fellow i. Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional course with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional course in case of entomology only. Rs. 25000/- per month
ii. For Others (i.e for candidates possessing qualifications other than the above) Rs. 12,000 per month+ 30% HRA
How to apply: The desirous applicants may appear for a walk in interview on the date, time and venue specified above along with filled in application which is made available in the website. The candidates should present themselves for certificate verification at the same venue by 9.00 a.m. The candidates are directed to bring all the relevant original documents pertaining to educational qualifications, experience, research, training, projects, testimonials, etc., along with a set of self-attested photocopies and a recent passport size photograph, for necessary certificate verification. It may be noted that production of above said documents is mandatory. Failure to bring the same will render ineligible to attend PPT & Interview. No separate call letter for the PPT & Interview shall be issued. The position is purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project or one year from the date of joining, whichever is earlier. NIPHM will not be held responsible to give regular appointment after expiry of the term. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:– 1. (in terms of G.I., Dept. of Per. & Trg., Notfn. No. 15012/6/98- Estt. (D), dated 21st December, 1998. OBC candidates have to enclose caste certificate as per GOI norms for claiming age relaxation and for considering to the reserved OBC post. 3. Self-attested copies of all educational qualifications along with experience, age relaxation certificates are required to be submitted invariably. 4. Age and educational qualifications may be relaxed in exceptional cases by the Director General. NIPHM. 5. Candidates applying for above positions shall be required to stay in the quarters if allotted or within 3km radius of NIPHM. 6. Candidates applying for Pesticide Management Division posts will be required to work in Shift system. 7.
