The institute had a humble beginning in 1954 in the form of a Contraceptive Testing Unit. Over the years, the Institute has made significant strides to develop newer contraceptives, both for the male and the female; generate information on the safety, efficacy and acceptability of available contraceptives in Indian population; and elucidate basic mechanisms underlying reproductive physiology.

Stipend : Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA p.m. OR Rs. 12,000 p.m. + 30% HRA
Desired Profile : First Class Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry/Zoology/Microbiology/ from recognized university with NET qualified or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET* qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (M.V.Sc. or M. Pharma). OR Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Microbiology with or without NET-LS.
Preferred : Experience in laboratory animal handling will be preferred.
Age : Upto 28 Years
Duration : 1 year 18 months
