Job description:
Position Overview :
Assists QC/QA Manager with quality control to keep the company in compliance with FDA regulations and cGMP standards.
General Accountabilities:
• Inspection of raw materials, in process materials, and finished product
• Review and test production process for conformance to quality standards
• Assist with regular training for employees on quality issues and develops programs to encourage employees to perform quality control as part of all operations
• Assist with maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures
• Microbiological testing of raw materials and finished product samples
• Outsourcing samples to third party labs
• Release of finished product including writing Certificates of Analysis
• Perform line checks for packaging and ATP checks for production
• Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment
• Environmental monitoring of temperatures and humidity
• Sampling of incoming raw materials
Job Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or closely related field or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience:
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a nutraceutical QC position or equivalent education
