CPCRI, Kerala
The Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) was established in 1970 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and has its headquarters in Kudlu, 5 km north of Kasaragod.
CPCRI serves as a national forum for improving the genetic potential of plantation crops and conducting basic and applied research on various aspects of these crops to produce genetically superior planting materials for coconut, arecanut, cashewnut and spices.
WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
A Walk-in interview (including a written test) for selection of various assignments undet· various Schemes/Projects shall be held at CPCRI, Kudlu PO, Kasaragod, Kerala -671124 on the dates mentioned against each project as below:
Position I
Job Title: SRF (one position)
Scheme name: Net Work Project on Organic Horticulture
Essential qualifications:
M .Sc. (Ag.) in any branch of agricu Itural sciences/ M.Sc.(Horticultre)/M.Sc. in any branch of Horticultural Sciences with 4 years of Bachelor's degree or M.Sc in Botany/Chemistry/Life Sciences along with NET qualification and two years research experience.
Desirable:
Experience in conducting field experiments, analysis of soiI and plant samples, computer knowledge.
Job Description: Conduct of field experiments, analysis of soil and plant samples, processing and tabulation data.
Duration: For a period upto March 2017
Upper Age limit : 18-30 years for men and 18-35 years for women as on the date of interview. (Upper age limit relaxable to SC/ST/OBC
candidates) as per rules.
Remuneration: Rs.25,000/-per month + 10% HRA for the J & II year and Rs. 28,000/-+ 10% HRA for the 3rd year

Position II
Job Title: SRF (two positions)
Scheme name: ICAR-ORP on fungal foliar diseases -one position) ICAR outreach project -Phytophthora, Fusarium and Ralstonia diseases of Horticultural and field crops -one position
Essential qualifications:
M.Sc. (Ag.) in Plant Pathology with 4 years of Bachelor's degree or M.Sc. (Biotechnology)/M.Sc.(Microbi 10gy)/M.Sc. Applied Botony/M.Sc. (Plant Science) with NET and two years research experience.
Desirable: Experience in plantation crops preferably in Plant Pathology/Biotechnology.
Duration: For a period upto March 201 7
Upper Age limit: 18-30 years for men and 18-35 years for women as on the date of interview. (Upper age limit relaxable to SC/ST/OBC candidates) as per rules.
Remuneration: Rs. 25,000/-per month + 10% HRA for the I & II year and Rs. 28,000/-+ 10% HRA for the 3rd year

Position III
Job Title: JRF (one position)
Scheme name: Enhancing the economic viability of coconut based land use system for land use planning in Kerala State
Essential qualifications:
M.Sc.(Ag.) in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry/M.Sc. Chemistry/M .Sc.Biochemistry or B.Sc.(Ag.)/B.Sc. (Hort.)with one year work experience in the related occupation or B.Sc.Chemistry/B.Sc. Biochemistry with two years work experience in the related occupation.
Desirable:
I. Experience in Analys is of soil and plant samples for physico chemical and biological properties. 2. Proficiency in the use of computers(MS Office)
Duration: For a period of 2 years or upto the closure of the project
Upper Age limit: 30 years for men and 35years for women as on the date of intervie'vv (Relaxable to SC/ST/OBC candidates) as per rules.
Remuneration: Rs.1 2,000/-per month + 10% HRA
Date of interview: 28.11.2015
How to apply:
The candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criteria may attend the walk-in-interview at CPCRI, Kasaragod on the dates mentioned above. The candidates should be present in the venue of the Interview at 8.30am on the date of Interview as mentioned above. Late comers shall not be allowed to take the interview. They should bring with them, their bio -data and original certificates in proof of age, caste, educational qualifications, experience etc. Those who do not furnish the Original or Provisional Certificate of the Degree course will not be allowed to appear for the written test/ interview.
No TAwiII be paid for the journey for attending the interv iew.
