Arizona State University - PhDMicrobiology
Our MicrobiologyPhD program provides a unique environment for advanced training in the scientific study of microbes and their impact on humankind. Understanding microbe biology and predicting the consequences of their activities form our view of the field of Microbiology.
Our program has a vibrant group of students, post-docs and faculty interested in attaining a broad understanding of the biology of microbes. We integrate many aspects of Microbiology ranging from basic molecular, to global and planetary. We work with scientific tools ranging from nanotechnologies to genomics, and mathematics to satellite-based imaging.
We also draw on the expertise of microbiologists from diverse research areas — an asset only possible in a large research institution such as ASU. For this reason we welcome graduate students with non-traditional backgrounds.
We want you to experience the exciting rewards of a career in Microbiology. We hope you will join us.
