The Faculty of Applied Sciences is the largest faculty of TU Delft, with around 550 scientists, a support staff of 250 and 1,800 students. The faculty conducts fundamental, application-oriented research and offers scientific education at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels. The faculty is active in the fields of Life and Health Science & Technology, Nanoscience, Chemical Engineering, Radiation Science & Technology, and Applied Physics.
The Department of Bionanoscience, part of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Delft University of Technology and part of the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience Delft is dedicated to world-leading research at the interface between nanophysics and biology. This young, international department was established in 2010 and has since expanded to currently 13 faculty members with active areas of research ranging from single-molecule biophysics to Cell Biology. The department offers excellent general facilities, including a central microscopy facility, extensive general biology facilities and a large cleanroom facility, Kavli Nanolab Delft.

Job description
TU Delft invites applications for both junior and senior faculty positions. Having established major strengths in single-molecule biophysics, nanotechnology and synthetic biology, the Department is particularly eager to further expand in the area of (quantitative) Cell Biology. Candidates with a strong track record in super-resolution microscopy (nanoscopy) are ideal. However, exceptional candidates in the entire range from nanophysics to synthetic and Cell Biology are welcome to apply, and will be given serious consideration.
