Recruitment of JRF and SRF in DBT project @ North Maharashtra University

About the Institute

The North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, established on 15th August, 1990 under the Maharashtra Universities Act, XXIX of 1989, started its academic and administrative functioning from the academic year 1991-92. Within the span of 3 years, the University is recognized under section 2 (f) in 1991 and 12 (B) in 1994 under the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. The jurisdiction of the University is extended over three districts i.e. Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar, a pre-dominantly tribal and rural area of Khandesh region. The University has opened it’s doors of higher education to mostly “first generation learners” of this area. Access, equity and academic excellence are the thrust areas of the University’s educational endeavor.

Project title: DBT sponsored Project entitled “Screening of Mosquito Larvicidal Toxin Producing Microbes” under supervision of Principal Investigator, Dr. Satish V. Patil, Astt. Professor, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.

Positions available and relevant details:

(A) Position title: Junior Research Fellow 

Number of vacancies: 1

Salary: Rs. 12000/- + 10% HRA

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, NET with good consistent academic record. Students / experience in related field will be given preference.

Desirable Qualifications: Candidates having relevant experience of Isolation and maintenance of antibiotic or toxic Protein producing microbes will be given preference.

B) Position Title: Project Assistant

Number of vacancies: 1

Salary: Rs. 8000/-(Consolidated)

Essential Qualifications: M. Sc in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences

Desirable Qualifications: M. Sc (Life Science) with two years relevant experience
