Established in 1984, the Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH) is one amongst the 38 national laboratories of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and is its youngest laboratory. Set-up to be a fore-runner in the area of Biotechnology, the Institute occupies an   area of about 47 acres, of which the labs cover  22 acres and the residential campus, 25 acres.

• Desired Profile : 1st class M.Sc. in Life Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology with minimum 2 years relevant experience in mammalian tissue culture, culture of mycobacteria, experience of working  in Biosafety level III, experience in small animal  handling (rabbits, mice and rat), knowledge of high resolution  biological imaging (electron & confocal microscopy) and flow  Cytometry. 
• Preferred : Candidate will have to undertake rigorous long term experiments involving small experimental animals and also have to work extensively  in BSL-II laboratory.
