The University of Calcutta was established by an Act of the Legislative Council (Act No II of 1857) of the then British India. One Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is required for the Project entitled “Studies on Anti-thyroidal Biomolecules in Bamboo-shoots of North East and Evaluation of their Molecular and Physiological Actions in Thyroid Disruption” funded by Department of Biotechnology (DBT) (Govt. of India) under the supervision of Prof. Amar K Chandra (Principal Investigator), Dr. Sreya Chattopadhyay (Co-Investigator), department of Physiology, University of Calcutta and Prof. Rina Ghosh (PI), Department of Chemistry, Jadavpur University.

Physiology / Life Sciences from a recognized University having experience of using laboratory animals for M.Sc. project work
- Preference : Preference will be given to students with NET / GATE / BET / BINC SLET / Professional course qualified.
- Fellowship : Rs. 16,000/- + HRA for NET / GATE / BET / BINC SLET per month for the 1st and 2nd year and @ Rs. 18,000 + HRA for the 3rd year. Otherwise it shall be Rs. 12,000 + HRA for the 1st and 2nd year and @ Rs. 14,000 + HRA for the 3rd year.
