National Institute of Nutrition was established with a vision to enable food and nutrition security conducive to good health, growth & development and increase productivity through dedicated research, so as to achieve the national nutrition goals set by the government of India in the national nutrition policy.
Eligible candidates are invited to attend a WALK-IN-INTERVIEW on the following date sharp at 09:30 a.m. for the following position/post on the ad hoc research project entitled “Effect of cowpea isoflavones as a natural food source for the treatment of osteoporosis in MG-63 Human osteosarcoma cells and to assess its synergistic role with vitamin D in bone formation” funded by ICMR at this Institute. The essential qualification, experience, consolidated Fellowship/Pay and the tenure the fellowship/Post are as under:
- Position : JRF
- No of Post : One
- Desired Profile : M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Life Sciences from any recognized University. The candidates should have qualified in the CSIR/UGC or ICMR/PGI National Entrance Test (NET).
- Preferred : One year experience in cell culture work, molecular biological techniques, animal handling and experimentation protocols
- Age : Below 30 years. Relaxation of age is admissible
for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per G.O.I. rules
- Fellowship : Rs.16,000/- plus 30% HRA p.m. (fixed) without any other allowances.
The candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualification (from SSC onwards), experience and caste along with a passport-size photograph and one set of photocopies of all certificates duly attested while attending the Walk-in-Interview. The persons belongs to Other Backward Category should bring the latest O.B.C. (Non-creamy layer) Certificate issued by the respective Tahsildar/MRO specifically issued for the purpose of applying for Central Government Post, No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the Interview/ written test.
