IISER, Mohali was established in 2007 by the Government of India, through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), to carry out research in frontier areas of science and to provide quality science education at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- Title of the project : Understanding the Protein-Protein recognition events at the single molecule level
- Benefits : The selected candidate will have exposure to state-of the art analytical techniques, like total internal fluorescence microscope, atomic force microscope, analytical ultracentrifugation etc under guidance.
- Position(s) : 01 (One)
- Duration : Minimum Two Years
- Emoluments : As per MHRD RA Fellowship rules
- Desired Profile : PhD in experimental Biophysics/Biochemistry
- Preferred : The candidate must be strongly motivated to work on the high-end optical and scanning probe microscopy based single molecule instrumentation and their applications in biophysical problems. Candidate will be asked to work on Protein expression, purification and engineering. Having previous research experience on PCR and several biophysical techniques, like CD, ITC, Stopped-flow etc. are plus. A good communication skill in English and computer skill is highly desired. The candidate will be expected to aid in grant and manuscript writing and collaborate with other projects in the lab.
