National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as 'Malaria Research Centre', which was renamed as 'National Institute of Malaria Research' in November 2005. NIMR is one of the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India). The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research.
Under DRDO sponsored ad hoc extramural collaborative project (NIMR and Defence Research Laboratory, Tejpur Assam) entitled “Development of Botanical Insecticide Formulation of Essential Oils Extract from Lantana/ Valeriana Jatamansi and Psoralea Corylifolia for the Control of Mosquitoes” the following positions are to be filled up purely on temporally and contractual basis, co-terminus with the project.
- Position : Research Associate
- No of Post : 1
- Fellowship : Rs.24,000/- + HRA
- Desired Profile :M.Sc., Ph.D in Life Sciences(Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Zoology) with three years post doctoral research
- Preferred : Experience in relevant field with good publications
- Age : 40 years (42 years for female)
- Position :JRF
- No of Post : 1
- Fellowship : Rs.16,000/- + HRA p.m
- Desired Profile : Post Graduate (PG) degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Zoology)
- Preferred : One year research experience in related field
- Age : 28 years
