The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh was conceived in 1960 as a center of excellence which would endeavour to develop patterns of teaching in postgraduate medical education in as many branches as possible and attempt to produce specialists in several disciplines of medicine. It was also envisaged that these specialists would spread out in the country in various medical colleges and medical institutions and impart medical education of highest standard to the students and set up nucleus of excellence in their own institutions.
Applications are invited on plain paper for the post of Senior Research Fellow in the ICMR-funded project entitled "Potential role of biomarkers and gene-environment interactions in subject population exposed to indoor air pollution" under Dr. Veena Dhawan, Professor, Deptt. of Experimental Medicine and Biotechnology as per details given below:

- Desired Profile : Masters (1st Class Environmental Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology ,Cell Biology, Environmental Science with two years research Experience)
- Preferred : Preference will be ginven to 2 years working experience with HPLC/FPLC, techniques related to molecular biology and ProteinBiochemistry with NET/GATE qualified candidates will be given preference.
- Age : Upper Age limit: 30 years (Relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH/Women candidate as per rules).
