National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as 'Malaria Research Centre', which was renamed as 'National Institute of Malaria Research' in November 2005. NIMR is one of the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India). The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research.
The Following positions are to be filled up on a temporary, contractual basis, co-terminus with a National Institute of Health-funded project ‘Malaria Evolution in South Asia’.

- Desired Profile : Graduate in Science/ required subjects/ from a recognized university with one year DMLT course or three years diploma in engineering (or any relevant required
discipline) from a recognized institution or graduate with one year relevant experience in the lower grade or one year field/ lab experience from a recognized institution.
- Preferred : Master degree in the relevant subject, Field experience in malaria, Good computer skills and experience with using MS Office
- Age: Up to 30 years
- Stipend : Research Assistant : Rs 27,945/- p.m. Consolidated ; Project Assistant : Rs 27,945/- p.m. Consolidated
