The institute had a humble beginning in 1954 in the form of a Contraceptive Testing Unit. Over the years, the Institute has made significant strides to develop newer contraceptives, both for the male and the female; generate information on the safety, efficacy and acceptability of available contraceptives in Indian population; and elucidate basic mechanisms underlying reproductive physiology.
Applications are invited through Walk-in-Interview on 14th March 2015 between 09:00 hrs. and 12:00 hrs. for the following vacancy, purely on temporary basis, in the following ad-hoc research project.

- Fellowship : Rs 16,000/- p.m.
- Desired Profile : First Class M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Zoology.
- Preferred : Candidate with experience in molecular biology, Cell culture will be preferred.Preferably NET
qualified.
- Age : Not exceeding 28 years
- Duration : Initially for One year
