Walk in Interview for multiple vacancies in different projects at NRCPB, Delhi

The National Research Centre on Plant Biotechnology (NRCPB) was established in 1985 with a vision to impart the Biotechnology advantage to the much-needed thrust to Indian Agriculture. The Centre had adopted relatively softer option of tissue culture based research in its infancy in view of the build-uptime required for a strong self-sustaining infrastructure. Today almost a decade later, it stands poised to deliver impact-making results of research being pursued in upfront areas of plant Biotechnology. 

• Project Title : Molecular approaches for mapping of novel gene(s)/ QTL(s) for resistance/ tolerance to Panicle blast and Sheath blight in Rice
• Position : Research Associate
• No of Post : One
• Desired Profile : Ph.D. Degree in molecular biology/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ allied sciences; or M.Sc in molecular biology/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ allied sciences with 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship / Training/ other engagements
• Preferred : 4-5 years research experience in

  molecular biology techniques, plant tissue culture and genetictrans formation in rice and data analysis. Published research papers will be desirable.

• Emoluments : Consolidated Rs.24000/- for Ph.D. holders and for MSc holders Rs.22000/- for first two years & Rs. 23000/- from 3rd year onward (+ 30% HRA)

• Project Title : Molecular approaches for mapping of novel gene(s)/ QTL(s) for resistance/ tolerance to Panicle blast and Sheath blight in Rice
• Position : SRF
• No of Post : Three
• Desired Profile : M.Sc. in molecular biology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Allied Sciences
• Preferred : One year or more experience in molecular biology techniques, plant tissue culture, genetictransformation
• Emoluments : Rs 16000/- +30% HRA & Rs.18000/- +30% HRA from 3rd year onward

• Project Title : Rice MetaSys: Understanding rice gene network through system biology approach” funded by ICAR under Centre for Agricultural Bioinformatics (CABin)
• Position : Research Associate
• No of Post : One
• Desired Profile : Ph.D. Degree in molecular biology/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ allied sciences; or M.Sc in molecular biology/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ allied sciences with

  1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship / Training/ other engagements

• Preferred : 4-5 years research experience in molecular biology techniques, plant tissue culture and genetictrans formation in rice and data analysis. Published research papers will be desirable.
• Emoluments : Consolidated Rs.24000/- for Ph.D. holders and for MSc holders Rs.22000/- for first two years & Rs. 23000/- from 3rd year onward (+ 30% HRA)

• Desired Profile : First Class Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, molecular biology, Biotechnology or Life Sciences.
• Preferred : Research experience in Bioinformatics analysis especially with NGS data, as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship / Training/ other engagements.
• Emoluments : Rs 25000/- consolidated

• Project Title : Puccinia triticina Genomics Network on De Novo Genome Sequencing, Fitness, Variation and

  Pathogenicity

• Position :JRF
• No of Post : One
• Desired Profile : Master’s degree in molecular biology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average
• Preferred : Master’s degree in molecular biology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average
• Emoluments : 12,000+ HRA (for Non NET qualified) /16,000+HRA (for CSIR- NET qualified)

• Project Title : Translational research on root knot Nematode tolerant RNAi transgenics based on vital parasite gene targets from validation to proof-of-concept to selection of event(s) in the field under confined conditions
• Position : JRF
• No of Post : One
• Desired Profile : Master’s degree in molecular biology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with 1st division or

  60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average

• Preferred : Master’s degree in molecular biology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average
• Emoluments : 12,000+ HRA (for Non NET qualified) /16,000+HRA (for CSIR- NET qualified)
