About Institute : The institute had a humble beginning in 1954 in the form of a Contraceptive Testing Unit. Over the years, the Institute has made significant strides to develop newer contraceptives, both for the male and the female; generate information on the safety, efficacy and acceptability of available contraceptives in Indian population; and elucidate basic mechanisms underlying reproductive physiology.
Requirement :
- Students pursuing M.Sc./M.Tech degree in Biological sciences (Biochemistry/Microbiology/Life Science/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics) who are interested in undertaking their dissertation work/short-term training for 2-3 months at NIRRH can apply online during 30th December 2014 to 29th January 2015.
- A link for online submission will be open from 30th December 2014. The applicant should fill online application form and upload scanned copy of Recommendation letter from Principal/Head of the Department of the college/University where he/she is pursuing his/her post-graduate course and scanned copy of their B.Sc/B.Tech. final year marksheet.
- Students enrolled in integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. or M.Tech courses, would have to upload their previous semester marksheet.
Candidate should note that :
- Duration of training would be from May to June/July 2015
- Preference would be given to Mumbai University
candidates.
- No hostel accommodation would be provided to outstation candidates.
- Selected candidates will have to pay fees of Rs. 5000/-
- The work carried out at NIRRH and the data generated would belong to NIRRH and it could not be reproduced in the form of a research paper by the trainee student or his/her department.
- Selected candidates would be intimated by email by first week of February 2015.
