Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) was established at Ludhiana by an act of the Punjab Legislature No. 16 of 2005 notified in the Punjab Government Gazette on August 9, 2005 and it started functioning w.e.f. April 21, 2006 for promoting livestock production, health and prevention of the disease(s) through integrated teaching, research and extension programme(s).
Walk in interview has been called for the one post of Senior Research Fellow on 01.01.2015at 11.00 am in the office of undersigned in the scheme C: RKVY-5: DR sub-project entitled “Seroprevalence and to validate a new elisa for the detection of Toxoplasma gondii infection in naturally infected multiple animal species including sheep, goat and pigs” - at the following emoluments and qualifications:

- Desired Profile : B.Sc. in Biotechnology/ MicrobiologyZoology /Agriculture with a minimum OCPA of 5.00/10.00 basis or 50% marks.M.Sc / Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Microbiology /Zoology/ Agriculture with a minimum OCPA of 6.50 out of 10 basis or 65% marks.
- Stipend : Rs.16000/- per month for 1st and 2nd year Rs.18000/- per month for 3rd year
Job Responsibilities:
- To collect serum samples from sheep, goat and pigs from Punjab.
- To analyze
these samples using serological and molecular detection tests.
- Data collection, data entry and survey.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by P.I.
The post is purely temporary and the services of the incumbent are liable to be terminated at any time without any prior notice. The initial appointment will be for six months will be extended subject to satisfactory performance. The incumbent will have no right what so ever for absorption in the regular university service.
