The institute had a humble beginning in 1954 in the form of a Contraceptive Testing Unit. Over the years, the Institute has made significant strides to develop newer contraceptives, both for the male and the female; generate information on the safety, efficacy and acceptability of available contraceptives in Indian population; and elucidate basic mechanisms underlying reproductive physiology.
Applications are invited through Walk-in-Interview on 22-12-2014 between 09:00 hrs. and 12:00 hrs. for the following vacancy under Non-Institutional ad-hoc project.
- Project title : Identification of genetic and biochemical determination of autism spectrum disorders.
- Position : JRF
- No of Post : One
- Desired Profile : First Class M.Sc. degree holders in Life Sciences who have qualified in the ICMR/CSIR/UGC National Entrance test (NET) or equivalent examination and have a valid certificate
- Preferred : Candidate who has experience on molecular biology techniques like PCR, sequencing; conventional cytogenetic techniques, experience on animal cell culture would be preferred.
- Salary : Rs. 16000/- + 30% HRA p.m. for 1st and 2nd Year Rs. 18000/- + 30% HRA p.m. for 3rd Year
- Age : 28 years
- Duration : Three years
