Job Title: Associate Scientist I
Job Description:
- Participate in identifying research areas that could lead to the development of new products
- Manage research project portfolio assigned to the research group.
- Provide leadership to the research group, train and develop junior research staff
- Carry out experiments independently by following the Product Innovation Process (PIP) of Kemin.
- Write research reports and presentations
- Write Technical articles based on the research finding on a timely basis for internal and external publications- Minimum 6 per year
- Contribute to Patent disclosure- one every two years.
- Contribute to a peer review publication- once in 2 years
- Gain knowledge about Animal Nutrition and Health and submit ideas for new product development at least one every year
- Complete 3 short terms (H1) or one Medium term (H2) projects every year or make significant progress in a long term (H3) project.
- Provide technical support to Marketing & Sales by serving as resource person for Technical training.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of all research activities in laboratory note books.
- Protect all confidential information such as formulations, trade secrets and other commercially sensitive information.
- Carry out research activities with high scientific and personal integrity and also by following good scientific, laboratory practices.
- Conduct all research activities with strict adherence to the Health and Safety policies of the company.
Eligibility:PhD in Microbiology
Experience: 1-2 years
Skills:
- Strong knowledge in basic science and area of specialization.
- Hands on experiences in carrying out laboratory research
- Basic knowledge on Computer-word, PP, Excel
- Technical Writing in English
- Good presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Creativity
