National Research Centre on Seed Spices research is mainly concentrated on development of high yielding varieties with high essential oil content and resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. The Institute has already developed 11 varieties of 8 seed spice crops. Controlling cumin wilt and blight diseases is now receiving major attention. Besides these, agronomic practices are also being standardized for different crops. Research work has also started in Plant Pathology, Plant Physiology, Soil Science and Entomology.
A walk-in-interview is scheduled to be held at NRCSS, Ajmer on 04.12.2014 at 11-00 AM for the following temporary positions
- Project title : Phytochemicals / High Value Compounds Project “Consortia Platform on Phytochemicals/ High Value Compounds”
- Position : SRF
- No of Post : Two
- Desired Profile : Master degree in Biochemistry/Chemistry/ Agriculture Chemicals/ Biotechnology.
- Preferred : Preference will be given to the candidates with experience of handling analytical Instruments like GC-MS, HPLC etc. Candidates having work experience of metabolite profiling, targeted metabolite isolation, purification, analysis, characterization, semi-synthesis of high value compounds, In vitro and in vivo studies of high value compound for product development and value addition.
- Fellowship : Rs. 16000/- per month + HRA (as per rules) for 1st year & 2nd year; Rs. 18000/- per month + HRA (as per rules) for 3rd year
- Duration : Up to March, 2015 but likely to continue
- Age limit : Maximum 35 years for men and 40 for women as on 04.12.2014
