The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), statutory organisation, was constituted in September, 1974 under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. Further, CPCB was entrusted with the powers and functions under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. It serves as a field formation and also provides technical services to the Ministry of Environment and Forests of the provisions of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) is proposing to recruit twenty four Scientists and seventeen Non-Scientists posts on contractual basis/deputation under the project entitled “Strengthening of Environmental Regulators (SER) - CPCB” under Institutional Development Component of The Word Bank Assisted National Ganga River Basin Project.
Position 1 : Scientist B

- Educational Qualifications : Master’s degree in Science (Life-Sciences and allied discipline, Environmental Science,Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Microbiology)
- Experience : Freshers
Position 2 : Scientist C

- Age : Upto 40 yrs
- Educational Qualifications : Master’s degree in Science (Life-Sciences and allied discipline, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Microbiology)
- Experience : Three years practical relevant experience
Position 3 : Scientist D (Water Quality Analyst)
- Position Available : 01
- Age Limits : Upto 45 yrs
- Educational Qualifications : Master’s degree in Environmental Science/ Science/Life Sciences and allied discipline/ Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Microbiology.
- Preferential : Master’s in Hydrology
- Experience : Five years practical relevant experience
Position 4 : Scientist D (Real time network engineer)
- Position Available : 01
- Age Limits : Upto 45 yrs
- Educational Qualifications : Master’s degree Environmental Science/ Science/Life Sciences and allied discipline/Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Microbiology.
- Experience : Five years practical relevant experience
Position 5 : Scientist D (Officer Pollution Inventory)
- Position Available : 04
- Age Limits : Upto 45 yrs
- Educational Qualifications : Master’s degree Environmental Science/ Science/Life Sciences and allied discipline Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Microbiology.
- Experience : Five years practical relevant experience
