Walk in Interview for recruiting freshers for Project Fellow post at RGU

Rajiv Gandhi University (formerly Arunachal University) is the premier institution for higher education in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and has completed twenty five years of its existance. Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India, laid the foundation stone of the university on 4th February 1984 at Rono Hills, where the present campus is located.

A Walk-In-Interview will be held on 14.11.2014 at 11.00 am in the office of the Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences of Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh for selection of one project fellow to work in a research project entitled “Studies on secondary microbial infections induced by monogenoidean parasites (Platyhelminths) in economically important fish species of Arunachal Pradesh” to be implemented jointly by Dr. Amit Tripathi, Department of Zoology and Dr. Sumpam Tangjang, Department of Botany under UGC XII plan

  • Position : Project Fellow
  • No of Post : One
  • Desired Profile : M.Sc in Botany/Microbiology/Biotechnology or allied disciplines.
  • Preferred : Research Experience in identification of microbes.
  • Tenure : Two Years.
  • Fellowship : Rs.8000/- (Eight thousand) only consolidated.
  • Age limit : 30 Years (upper age relaxation is five years for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Women candidates)

The candidate is expected to get involved with the extensive detection and identification of microbial infections under the supervision of Dr. Sumpam Tangjang. The post is purely temporary and coterminous with the project. No TA or DA will be paid for attending the interview.
