Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) was established at Ludhiana by an act of the Punjab Legislature No. 16 of 2005 notified in the Punjab Government Gazette on August 9, 2005 and it started functioning w.e.f. April 21, 2006 for promoting livestock production, health and prevention of the disease(s) through integrated teaching, research and extension programme(s).

- Stipend : Rs 18000/- + 20% HRA for first two years and Rs 20000/- + 20% HRA for 3rd year (For M.Sc with Professional degree) and Rs 16000/- + 20% HRA for first two years and Rs 18000/- + 20% HRA for 3rd year (M.Sc with Non-professional degree)
- Project : Strengthening of research in Veterinary, Animal Husbandry and Fishery sciences for sustainable development of livestock and aquaculture in Punjab AND Studies on the efficacy of calcium supplement containing calcium nanoparticles in calcium deficiency disorders in ruminants
- Desired Profile :M.Sc/PhD degree in any branch of Life Science. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the field related jobs
