The Central University of Bihar (CUB) is one among the sixteen newly established Central Universities by the Government of India under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Section 25 of 2009).In the last Academic Year i.e. 2012-13, seven new Masters Programmes namely Life Science, Economics, English, Hindi, Political Science & International Relations, Sociology and M.Tech. in Computer Science were started. The University has offered conducive environment, adequate infrastructure support and innovative pedagogies to nurture the students who have joined the University considering unique characteristics of its courses and pedagogy.

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright individuals for the position of Junior Research Fellow/Project Assistant in the following research project funded by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB)

• Position :JRF/Project Fellow
• No of Post : One
• Title of Project : Investigating the mechanism of complex 1 mitochondrial DNA mutation in breast and colorectal cancer progression
• Fellowship : 16000 + HRA for JRF/NET/GATE qualified; 12000 + HRA for JRF/NET/GATE non-qualified

• Desired Profile :M.Sc in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Biological Science with minimum 55% marks (Relaxation for SC/ST candidates)
• Preferred : Experience in cell culture techniques, molecular biology and cancer biology desirable
