Multiple vacancies for Research Fellow & JRF in different projects at IIHR

IIHR spread its sphere of Research activities to the length and breadth of the Nation by establishing its experimental stations at Lucknow, Nagpur, Ranchi, Godhra, Chettalli and Gonikopal. Over the years these experiment stations have grown in size and today they stand as independent institutes, however, retaining the Chettalli and Gonicoppal under its fold. As of now, the IIHR has its main research station at Hessaraghatta, Bangalore with 263 ha of land .

The following temporary posts will be filled up through personal interview on 28/10/2014, at IIHR, Hesaraghatta Lake Post, Bangalore- 560089 under Ad-hoc project Details of posts, tenure of appointment, age limit, qualification are indicated bellow:

• Project :“Preparation for plant variety protection and DUS testing through ICAR-SAU system and conduct of DUS Test on Tomato, Brinjal, Okra and Garden Pea, Bottle Gourd, Cucumber, Bitter Gourd and Pumpkin”
• Position : Research Fellow
• No of Post : One
• PI : Dr. A.T.Sadashiva
• Pay : Rs. 10,000/- PM (consolidated)
• Desired Profile : M. Sc in Horticulture (Veg Science) / Plant breeding & Genetics, Botany& M.Sc(Ag)
• Preferred : One Year experience in conduct of DUS test in Tomato, Brinjal, Okra and Garden Pea.

• Position : SRF
• No of Post : Two
• PI : Dr.  M. Krishna Reddy
• Pay : Rs. 16,000/- PM + HRA for 1st & 2nd year Rs. 18,000/- PM + HRA for 3rd year onwards
• Desired Profile : M. Sc in Biochemistry with experience on Nanotechnology/M.Sc in Biotechnology with experience in genome sequencing
• Preferred : Research experience in Nanotechnology and fungal genome sequencing

• Project :DBT project entitled “Development of high- throughput nanobiosensor for the detection of Salmonella spp. In food”
• Position : JRF

• Pay : Rs. 12,000/- PM + 20%HRA
• Desired Profile : M. Sc Biochemistry/Life Science/molecular biology/ Biotechnology

• Project : DBT project entitled “Development of high- throughput nanobiosensor for the detection of Salmonella spp. In food”
• Position : JRF
• No of Post : One
• PI : Dr.Ranjitha.k
• Pay : Rs. 12,000/- PM + 20%HRA
• Desired Profile : M. Sc Biochemistry/Life Science/molecular biology/ Biotechnology
• Date of Interview : 28.10.14

All those Candidates who are desirous of attending the personal interview may send their application / bio-data for each post separately so as to reach this office of the above Ad-hoc project, IIHR, Bangalore by 20/10/2014 positively.  It may be noted that only those candidates who send their applications/ bio-data before the due date shall be permitted to participate in the interview which will be held from 10.00 a.m. onwards on 28/10/2014 at IIHR campus.  It may also be noted that no separate call letters will be sent.  The candidate should mention the name of PI / Co-PI, Item No. of the post & name of the post clearly failing which the application is likely to be rejected
