Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar invites application for admission to Ph.D. Programme from candidates in the following categories:
- Regular full-time scholars with Institute Assistance.
- Sponsored Scholars: Candidates who possess the minimum prescribed qualifications and are in service in any of the following establishments shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program as Sponsored Scholars:
- Defence or other ministries of the Government of India or any other government organizations;
- Established industrial research and development organizations
- Autonomous bodies and public undertakings
- Universities/Colleges
- Biosciences : Biochemistry, Enzymology, Protein Chemistry, G-Protein Coupled Receptors & Signal Transduction, Chemical and Cellular Biology, Peptide/Protein Design & Engineering.
- Eligibility : 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (in 10-point scale) in the Master’s or equivalent degree in appropriate discipline with consistently good academic record and valid GATE Score or UGC-CSIR-NET (with JRF)/ Inspire Fellowship in the relevant field.
- Application fee : The hardcopy of application form with necessary enclosures should be signed and submitted to above mentioned address along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- for General/OBC, Rs. 250/- for SC/ST drawn in favour of "IIT Bhubaneswar" on any nationalized bank payable at Bhubaneswar by post or in person in A4 size envelop only. Female candidates are exempted from paying application fee.
Application Procedure : Application form can be filled online accessing the website(http://www.iitbbs.ac.in/phd-application/). After online submission, print a hard-copy of the completed application form (the online portal will allow you to print after successful electronic submission of your application).
