Notification for open position in Life Science at Rajiv Gandhi University

Rajiv Gandhi University (formerly Arunachal University) is the premier institution for higher education in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and has completed twenty five years of its existance. Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India, laid the foundation stone of the university on 4th February 1984 at Rono Hills, where the present campus is located.

Applications are invited for the following posts under the “Center with Potential for Excellence in Biodiversity”. The posts are temporary and shall be terminated at the end of the CPEB-phase –II project. Duration of the project is 3 (three) years. 

• Position : Research Associate Post-I
• Academic Qualification : M.Sc. Ph. D in Biological Science having specialization of Microbiology/molecular biology and Biotechnology.
• Fellowship : Rs. 22,000 + 10% HRA per month

• Position : Research Associate Post-II
• Academic Qualification : M.Sc. Ph. D in Zoology/Life Science having experience of research on reproductive Physiology/Natural product/research on validation of natural products for Reproductive Physiology/ Entomology having knowledge on molecular biology techniques.
• Fellowship : Rs. 22,000 + 10% HRA per month

• Position :Junior Research Fellow
• Number of post : 01
• Academic Qualification :M.Sc. in Zoology/Life Science/Biotechnology with good academic record having specialization in Entomology/Insect Biology and knowledge with insect taxonomy and molecular biology.
• Fellowship : Rs. 12,000 + 10% HRA per month

• The candidate has to carry out extensive field works in Arunachal Pradesh.
• Fellowship/Salary shall be given as per permissible rule of University Grants Commission.
