Interview for temporary positions of JRF& SRF at Agharkar Research Institute, Pune

Projects :

  • ‘Miniature disposable PCR’ (NBS-04) period up to 31.03.2015
  • ‘Bacterial cellulose based scaffolds for osteochondral tissue engineering' (NBS-06) period up to 31.03.2016
  • ‘Modification of Lanthanum Strontium Manganese Oxide (LSMO) nanoparticles for active targeting; and assessment of tumor regression in a rodent model of breast cancer’ (NBS-07) period up to 31.03.2017
  • 'Development of multitalented nano-platform for targeted siRNA delivery to LHRH over expressed cancerous cells’ (NBS-08) period up to 31.03.2017
  • ‘Cell-penetrating peptides as drug delivery agents for cancer & Alzheimer. (SP-228) period up to 15.05.2019
  • ‘Engineered nanocarriers mediated targeted co-delivery of siRNA and anti-cancer drug for effective gene silencing and tumor therapy’ (SP-229) Period up to 30.06.2019
  • ‘Development of micro fluidics immunoassay for detection of Salmonella Typhimurium (SP-230) period up to 31.08.2017

Desired Profile :
Senior Research Fellow under NBS-06

  • Essential: (i) M.Sc. with first class in Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Microbiology (ii) two years research experience after M.Sc. with publication in scientific Journal OR clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET with two years experience.
  • Desirable: (i) Experience in animal handling techniques, (ii) Experience in cell culture techniques

Junior Research Fellow under NBS-04

  • Essential: (A) M.Sc. first class in Electronics/ Instrumentation Biotechnology with Clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET OR (B) B.E. with first class in Electronics/ Instrumentation Biotechnology.
  • Desirable: (i) Experience in analog electronics, (ii) Experience in micro fabrication techniques.

Junior Research Fellow under NBS-07

  • Essential: (A) M.Sc. with first class in Biotechnology/ Zoology and Clearance of CSIR-UGC/ NET. OR (B) M. Pharm with first class in Pharmacology
  • Desirable: (i) Experience in animal handling techniques, (ii) Experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques.

Junior Research Fellow under NBS-08

  • Essential: (A) M.Sc. with first class in Biotechnology/polymer chemistry with clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET. OR (B) M. Pharm with first class in Pharmaceutics/Pharm. Chem. OR (C) M. Tech. in Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology. 
  • Desirable: (i) Experience in synthesis and characterization of Polymeric/inorganic nanoparticles. (ii) Good writing and communication skills. (iii) Experience in animal and human cell culture.

Junior Research Fellow under SP-228

  • Essential: (A) M.Sc. first class in Life Science/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Pharmacy with Clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET of JRF OR (B) MS/ M. Tech with first class in Life Science/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Pharmacy
  • Desirable: (i) Experience in synthesis and purification of peptide as well as ProteinBiochemistry or Experience in cell culture procedures involving animal and human cells, (ii) Practical experience in biological fluorescence techniques will be an added advantage , (iii) Good writing and communication skills.

Junior Research Fellow under SP-229

  • Essential: (A) 1st class M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Polymer Chemistry with Clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET OR (B) M. Pharm. with first class in Pharmaceutics/ Pharm. Chem. OR (C) M. Tech. in Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology.
  • Desirable: (i) Experience in synthesis and characterization of polymeric/ inorganic nanoparticles, (ii) Good writing and communication skills, (iii) Experience in animal and human cell culture

Junior Research Fellow under SP-230

  • Essential: M.Sc. with first class in Biotechnology/ Microbiology with Clearance of CSIRUGC/ NET of JRF.
  • Desirable: (i) Experience in cell culture, (ii) Experience in analog electronics, (iii) Experience in micro fabrication techniques, (iv) Experience in using Bioinformatics tools.

Monthly stipend: JRF-Rs.12000/- (fixed) + HRA. or as per rules.SRF-Rs.14000/- + HRA

Age limit: JRF-28 years, SRF-30 years, relaxation by 5 years for SC, ST & female & 3 years for OBC candidates.
