Research opening in Gene Silencing project at University of Delhi, South campus

The University of Delhi is a public central university located in Delhi, India. It is wholly funded by the Government of India. Established in 1922, it offers courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The University of Delhi is a premier institute of higher education in India. It was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly. Five departments namely chemistry, geology, Zoology, sociology and history have been awarded the status of the Centres of Advanced Studies.

Applications are invited for the following positions in DBT project entitled "Engineering ToLCV resistance in Tomato by using single and multiple artificials micro RNAs and synthetic rep gene containing multiple mutations to resist VIGS" on RNAi under the guidance of Prof M.V.Rajam, UDSC, New Delhi.

• Position : Research Associate
• No of Post : One
• Stipend : Rs 22000 + 30% HRA
• Duration : 3 years
• Desired Profile :PhD in Plant molecular biology and Biotechnology or related area

• Position : JRF
• No of Post : One
• Stipend : Rs 16000 + 30% HRA
• Duration : 3 years
• Desired Profile :M.Sc/B.Tech or equivalent in Genetics/Biotechnology/Plant molecular biology/Botany/Life Sciences with CSIR/UGC-NET-LS/GATE
