PhD/Postdoc positions at the Institute of Oncology Research at Bellinzona, Switzerland
Open PhD student and postdoc positions are available in the Theurillat Lab at the Institute of Oncology Research (http://www.ior.iosi.ch). We are looking for highly motivated people with a degree in biology, Biotechnology, pharmacology or medicine. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in experimental and clinical oncology, cell and molecular biology (ubiquitylation), genomics and xenografts mouse models of human cancers. Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is required.

- Starting date of position : October to December 2014.
Doctoral candidates will be working on functional and translational aspects of driver mutations in prostate cancer and empirical approaches to personalized cancer therapy in the clinic. The IOSI PhD program is run in collaboration with leading Swiss Universities and Research Centers. Specific projects are in highly competitive areas and deal with:
- Role of SPOP mutations on differentiation in prostate cancer
- Dependencies for survival induced by CHD1 deletions in prostate cancer
- Role of SPOP mutations in endometrial cancer
- Strategies for empirical testing of drug responses in the clinic
