The Centre for Cellular & molecular biology (CCMB) is a premier research organization in frontier areas of modern biology. The objectives of the Centre are to conduct high quality basic research and training in frontier areas of modern biology, and promote centralized national facilities for new and modern techniques in the inter-disciplinary areas of biology.
PROJECT DISSERTATION PROGRAMME FOR FINAL YEAR M.Sc. / B.E. /
B.Tech (Biological sciences) STUDENTS
- The Centre for Cellular & molecular biology, invites applications for project dissertation programme for its Laboratory for the Conservation of Endangered Species (LaCONES). Students who have completed their first year of M.Sc. (in any area of Biology) or three years of B.E. or B.Tech. (Biotechnology during 2014-2015 academic year are eligible to apply.
- Post graduate applicants should have completed their first year and should be in the third semester or first half of the second year. Graduate (BE / BTech) applicants should have completed their third year and should be in the first half of the fourth year.
- Candidates willing to undertake field work would be preferred.
- Only students who are willing to spend a minimum period of 4 months to a maximum of 6 months, without any break, would be eligible for the programme. Candidates interested in the above project dissertation programme should apply online. The last date for applying is October 15, 2014. List of the selected candidates would be posted on the CCMB website by November 5, 2014. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- Selected candidates may please note that CCMB does not charge for the programme. CCMB would not provide any financial aid for travel. Stay for needy students may be provided in the hostel during the programme.
A hard copy of the letter on the official letter head signed by the Head of the Department and the student in the format given below along with “Statement of Purpose” with signature (specific area of interest in which you plan to pursue research and your future professional career goals in maximum 300 words) should be sent to The Programme Co-ordinator, LaCONES, CSIR-CCMB, Opp. Pillar No.162, PVNR Expressway, Hyderguda, Hyderabad-500048, Telangana.
