The Indian Agricultural Research Institute is the country's premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension. It has the status of a 'Deemed-to-be-University' under the UGC Act of 1956, and awards M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in various agricultural disciplines. The growth of India's Agriculture during the past nearly 100 years, is closely linked with the researches done and technologies generated by the Institute.
The Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit the outstanding personnel for post of Research Fellows in the following ICAR funded project purely on contractual basis.
- Project detail : ICAR network project on "Transgenics in crop plants (Maize functional genomics component)"
- Position : SRF
- No of Post : One
- Stipend : Rs 16000 + 30% HRA
- Desired Profile : Master's degree in Genetics/Plant BReeding/Biotechnology/Plant molecular biology/Botany/Biochemistry/Bioinformatics/Equivalent degree
- Preferred : Research experience in applications of molecular markers, gene expression assays, high throughput marker data generation, Bioinformatics tolls in crops
- Age : Not more than 35 years. Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & Women and three years for OBC
