SRF opening in Malaria research project at IIT, Bombay

The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB) is one of the Fifteen higher Institutes of Technology in the country set up with the objective of making available facilities for higher education, research and training in various fields of Science and Technology. The Institute on an average admits 880 candidates for the undergraduate programme through Joint Entrance Exam(JEE), 280 candidates for 2 Year M.Sc. programmes, 1000 candidates for different postgraduate programmes and 450 for Ph.D programmes every year.

Positions of Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Research Assistant (RA1), Sr. Project Technical Assistant (SPTA), Junior Research Fellow (JRF) are available in the following projects.

• Project title : P. Falciparum TGS1: Functional Analysis in Splicing and Telomere Biology 
• Position : SRF
• Desired Profile : Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Sciences & NET qualified Or Graduate Degree in Professional Courses and GATE or equivalent qualification

• Salary : Consolidated salary Rs.18000.00/- p.m.
• Job Profile : M. Sc. in any area of Life Sciences including Microbiology/Biochemistry /Biotechnology. Knowledge of recombinant DNA technology, Biochemistry and basic Bioinformatics and CSIR(JRF) or GATE qualified will be preferred. Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Sciences & NET qualified Or Graduate Degree in Professional Courses and GATE or equivalent qualification

The positions are temporary initially for a period of one year and tenable only for the duration of project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
