Chilika Development Authority invites application for filling up the following posts under the World Bank funded Integrated Coastal Zone Management Project implemented in Odisha

• Position title : Senior Research Fellow
• No of Post : One
• Age Limit : 35 years
• Desired Profile : M.Sc. Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics with 60% marks.
• Experience : 2 years of experience in genomics related to high-throughput DNA sequence analysis, bioinformatic programs QIME and mothur, statistical analysis using R and other phylogenetic packages is essential. CSIRNET/GATE/DBT qualified candidates are preferred. Two years of experience in genomics related to high-throughput DNA sequence analysis, bioinformatic programs, statistical analysis using R and other phylogenetic packages is essential
• Stipend : Rs 18000/-

• Position title : Junior Research Fellow
• No of Post : One
• Age Limit : 32 years
• Desired Profile : M.Sc. Botany/Marine Biology/ Microbiology/ M.Phil marine Biology.
• Experience : 1 year field experience in microscopic identification of phytoplankton and taxonomy
• Stipend : Rs 16000/-

• Position title : Junior Research Fellow
• No of Post : Two
• Age Limit : 32 years
• Desired Profile : M.Sc. in Fishery Sciences/Zoology with specialisation in Fishery/Fish Biology
• Experience : 2 years of research experience is desirable in fish population biology and diversity assessment. Field experience is mandatory
• Stipend : Rs 16000/-

• Position title :Junior Research Fellow
• No of Post : One
• Age Limit : 32 years
• Desired Profile :M.Sc in Life Science/Zoology/Botany
• Experience : Identification of zooplankton and /or phytoplankton species, Knowledge on statistical analysis and data processing/ interpretation
• Stipend : Rs 16000/-

The posts are temporary and co-terminus with the project and also can be terminated at any point of time if there is a case of non-performance. Deployment of such manpower at the time of completion or termination of the project will not be the concern/ responsibility of State Government/ Government of India or Chilika Development Authority. Women and candidates from traditional coastal communities especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should be willing to take extensive field work related to Chilika lake and would be stationed in Wetland Research & Training Center, Chandraput, near Balugaon, (Khurda District).
