Position : Junior Research Fellowship
Stream :
- Agriculture and Ecology : A good academic record with M.Sc in Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy or M.Sc or equivalent degree or M.Sc in Botany with specialization in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry or M.Sc in Environmental Sciences
- Human Genetics : A good academic record with M.Sc in Biochemistry/Biophysics/molecular biology/Genetics/Zoology
Fellowship : Applicants with ME/M.Tech or equivalent : Rs 18000/- pm or month : Rs 16000/- pm
Selection of candidates is baed on merit as judged by their performance in written tests and intevriews conducted by the Institute. Past acdemic record may also be taken into consideration.
Note : Candidates selected for Junior Research Fellowships may be asked to join at a place other than the one opted for, if necessary.

- Application Fee : Rs 500.00 for all applicants in the general category and all applicants for the JRF programmes (irrespective of reservation category), Rs 250 for SC/ST/OBC/PH for all programmes excluding JRF programmes
- Mode of Payment : The challan generated by the online system must be taken to any branch of State of Bank of India. The bank will accept only in cash the application fee as given above and bank charges (Rs 40)
