Applications on plain paper are invited for the temporary post of One Senior Research Fellow (SRF), for a period of six months (extendable for next term) under the SERB, DST, Govt. of India funded research project as per details mentioned below.
Project : “Construction of miRNA library associated with Disease Resistance in Buffalo”

Emolumnets : Rs. 18000 pm + 20% HRA (1st and 2nd Year of Project) Rs 19,000 pm for 3rd year + 20% HRA per month (3rd Year of Project)
Qualifications :
- B.V.Sc. & AH/ B.V.Sc. or B.Sc. (Biotechnology) or B.Sc. (Bioinformatics) degree with at least second class.
- M.V.Sc. degree in Animal Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Animal Genetics and Breeding/ or M.Sc. in Animal Biotechnology with at least 65% marks or an OCPA of 6.50 out of 10 or equivalent.
- Preference will be given to the candidates having experience of working in the area of functional genomics and/or Bioinformatics.
- As per the mandate of DST the candidate must have qualified NET and have research experience (One Year) in the field of Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Animal genetics and Breeding.
- Candidates who have cleared matric level Punjabi examination will be preferred. The candidates without the knowledge of Punjabi will only be considered/ appointed provided no suitably qualified/ experienced candidate with knowledge of Punjabi is available.
Age : As per DBT/DST guidelines (below 30 years)
Job Responsibilities:
- Research duties pertaining to the project and assigned by the P.I.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the PI.
The eligible candidates should send an application and a brief biodata mentioning their qualifications and experience (on A4 size paper). The candidates should also bring their original certificates with them for verification. No separate interview letter will be sent. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The appointment will be purely on temporary basis and subject to termination with the completion of the project.
