The Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (CIFRI) is the oldest premier research institute in the field of inland fisheries research and training in India. Established initially as Central Inland Fisheries Research Station by the Govt. of India at Kolkata in 1947, it assumed the status of an institute and shifted to Barrackpore (North 24-Parganas, West Bengal) in 1959.
A Walk in Interview will be held at the ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Regional Centre, HOUSEFED Complex, Dispur, Guwahati for selecting one SRF under the "National surveillance for aquatic animal disease (NSPAAD)" project on 04.03.16 at 10.30 hrs.

Desired Profile : M.Sc.Zoology/Life Sciences (preferably with specialization in Fish Health/Fish and Fisheries
Description :
- Hands on training in one or more of the following fields : Fish Health or Disease/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Limology
- Working knowledge of computer application
- Knowledge of local language
Preferred : Research experience in fisheries and aquaculture
Fellowship : Rs 16000/- pm + HRA
