JRF recruitment @ Division of Genetics, IARI through Walk in!!

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute is the country's premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension. It has the status of a 'Deemed-to-be-University39; under the UGC Act of 1956, and awards M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in various agricultural disciplines. The growth of India's Agriculture during the past nearly 100 years, is closely linked with the researches done and technologies generated by the Institute. The Green Revolution stemmed from the fields of IARI. Development of high yielding varieties of all major crops which occupy vast areas throughout the country, generation and standardization of their production, techniques, integrated pest management and integrated soil-water-nutrient management have been the hallmarks of the Institute's research.

The Head, Division of Genetics,IARI,New Delhi intends to recruit the outstanding personnel for the post of Junior Research Fellow and Skilled helper in the following ICAR funded project purely on contractual basis. Details of the position are given below:

Project : Development of high yielding heat tolerant wheat cultivars by utilizing molecular and physiological resources”
PI : Dr G.P.Singh

Position 1 : JRF

• No of Post : 2
• Period : Up to 31st March 2017, or till end of the project, whichever is earlier
• Emoluments : Rs. 25000 + 30% HRA (As per ICAR, memorandum no., Edn/6/27/2014/HRD Dated 13.07.15 and F No. Agri. Edn. 6/27/2014/HRD Dated 09/10/15)
• Desired Profile : Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Biotechnology/and Life sciences with specialization in any of the above subjects with 4-5 years Bachelor’s degree. Those with three years Bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent with master’s degree in any of the above subjects Or Ph D in any of the above subjects Or Integrated degree 5 years (BTech+MTech) in any of the above subjects. • Preferred : Experience in molecular techniques, molecular marker analysis

Position 2 : Skilled Helper

• No of Post : 1
• Period : Up to 31st March 2017, or till end of the project, whichever is earlier
• Emoluments : Rs. 15000/- pm fixed
• Desired Profile : BSc In Agriculture having Experience of working in field/lab, Knowledge of computer (MS Office) and keeping laboratory records.

The candidate intending to attend the interview, if any of his/her near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing so as to reach The Principal investigator, Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI New Delhi (gyanendrapsingh@hotmail.com) by 2nd March, 2016. If on the date of interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidatewill not be allowed to attend the interview.
