PhD in Biology/molecular biology/Biochemistry; experience in molecular diagnostics and/or molecular entomology and/or mosquito-vector biology and/or insecticide resistance.
The successful candidate should also be adaptable and able to work under different conditions and with a range of people in a multicultural environment, as well as flexible to travel for short periods of time.
Position Description:
The successful candidate will develop and validate molecular diagnostic assays to monitor species ID, infection status and insecticide resistance profile of mosquito vectors of human diseases.
Key duties include:
- To develop and validate molecular diagnostic assays for mosquito vectors;
- to be responsible for data collection, analysis and reporting;
- to liaise effectively with the colleagues in the DMC- MALVEC project;
- to be responsible for working in a safe manner adhering to local and legal requirements;
- to carry out such other duties consistent with a research position of this nature
Salary: Up to 2300 € monthly cost, depending on qualifications
