Research openings @ Central University of Rajasthan

The Central University of Rajasthan was established in February 2009. The University started working temporarily from Jaipur and introduced two PG programmes in 2009-10. To date, the University has launched 20 Master level courses. All these programmes are unique, futuristic in nature and have high job potential.  In all the 20 departments running these master’s degree programmes, the University has been striving to provide modern facilities for research and Ph.D. programme has also started in all these departments.

Position 1

Position Title: Research fellow

No of Posts: 1

Project Title: Development of multimeric, glycoprotein D – Ig μ chain fusion, subunit vaccine against Herpes Simplex Virus2

Principle Investigator: Dr. Suman Tapryal

Funding Agency: SERB-DST

Tenure of the Assignment: 1 year (Extendable to a total of 3 years based on     annual performance)

Eligibility:

Essential Qualification: Master of Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology with minimum 55%, Age limit as per government rule.

Desirable Experience: Candidates with good experience in gene cloning using bacterial systems, Protein expression, purification and in vitro refolding expertize will be preferred.    

Fellowship: Rs. 16,000/- p.m. consolidated (25,000/- p.m. consolidated for NET qualified)

Position Title:Junior Research Fellow

Project Title: Assessment of amyloidogenic propensities of HIV infection enhancing peptide PAP(248-286) under relevant physiological conditions

Principle Investigator: Dr. Jay Kant Yadav

Funding Agency: DST

Eligibility:

Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Life sciences with minimum 60% marks. Age limit is applicable as per the rule of Govt of India.

Desirable Experience: Candidates with previous experience in spectrophotometry, fluorimetry and transmission electron microscopy will be given preferences.

Fellowship:

NET/GATE qualified- Rs. 16,000/- p.m. for initial 2 years and Rs. 18,000/- p.m. for the third year.

Non-GATE/Non-NET- Rs. 14,000/- p.m. for initial 2 years and Rs. 16,000/- p.m. for the third year.
