This centre which was started by ICMR basically to solve problems in blood banking, slowly branched out successfully to initiate research in various other related areas of immunohaematology viz.&nb
In the first twenty five years, using limited space, limited resources and budget, talented and highly enthusiastic young scientists from the center under the guidance of dynamic stalwarts Dr. H M Bhatia and Dr. A J Baxi could produce as many as 271 publications of which 71 were published in prestigious international journals. The centre had many discoveries to it’s credit. Seeing this progress, ICMR decided to rechristen BGRC as ‘Institute of Immunohaematolgy’ at the time of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the Institute in 1982 to accommodate all the departments of the centre under one roof.
A Walk-In-Interview is proposed to be conducted on 28th January, 2016 to fill up the following posts on Temporary basis under the following adhoc projects.
Position I
Position Title: Senior Research Fellow
Project Title:‘Establishment of Prenatal Diagnosis of Thalassemia Syndromes and Sickle Cell Disorders in Madhya Pradesh and Assam”.
No. of Posts: 01 (no.)
Qualifications:M.Sc. in Life Science / Microbiology / Genetics / Molecular Biotechnology / Biochemistry
Experience:
Essential: 2 years research experience, preferably from a reputed Government Research Institute / University.
Desirable: Experience in Haemoglobinopathies, genetics and molecular biology.
Age: The upper age limit is 28 years as on 1st Feb, 2016.
Consolidated Salary: Rs.28.000/- + 30 % HRA
Position II
Position Title: Research Assistant
Project Title:‘‘Setting up of Tribal Health Research Units in ICMR Institutes."
No. of Posts: 01 (no.)
Qualifications and Experience: B. Sc. in Biochemistry / Life Sciences / Microbiology with D.M.L.T. & Three year experience as Lab. Technician / Technician ‘C’. Or M.Sc. in Biochemistry / Life Sciences / Microbiology.
Age: The upper age limit is 28 years as on 1st Feb, 2016
Consolidated Salary: Rs.28, 755/-.p..m.
General Conditions:
- The appointment will be purely on Temporary basis for a short-term duration and no other regular service benefits will be admissible.
- The candidates will not have any rights to claim for regular employment in this Institute.
