The Directorate of Coldwater Fisheries Research, a premier research institute of Indian Council of Agricultural Research for the coldwater fisheries and aquaculture in the country is working towards the development of coldwater fisheries sector in the country. The Directorate of Coldwater Fisheries Research (DCFR) came into existence on 24 September 1987 during the VII Five Year Plan as National Research Centre on Coldwater Fisheries (NRCCWF). Later on the NRCCWF has been renamed as Directorate of Coldwater Fisheries Research (DCFR) during XI Five Year Plan.

- Skills : Working experience of techniques used in molecular biology and virology with good knowledge of Bioinformatics.
- Age Limit : 35(Men) and 40(Women)
- Payscale : Rs. 25000 + HRA
Position III
- Job Title : RA

- Project : National network of germplasm centre for prioritized fin fishes of Ganga basin for conservation aquaculture
- Qualification : PhD in Fishery Science/Zoology/Life Science OR M.ScZoology/Life Science
- Skills : 2 years of research experience as evidenced by fellowship/training and other engagements.
- Age Limit : 40(Men) and 45(Women)
- Payscale : Rs. 36000 + HRA
