The Institute was established in 1935 as the first non official centre in to carry out basic biomedical research and was taken over by CSIR in 1956. CSIR-IICB today, by its mandate , is engaged in research on diseases of national importance and certain biological problems of global interest.

Qualification required : Ph.D in Life Science, Preferably Microbiology.
Required Experience : Two(2) years of post doctoral research experience on bacterial pathogens, animal models, cell culture and bacterial infections.
Age Limit : 35 Years
Stipend : Rs.22,000 + HRA
Terms & Conditions : The engagement is purely temporary and, therefore, does not confer any right / claim implicit or explicit for regularization or absorption against any IICB / CSIR post. The age and qualifications will be reckoned as on the date of interview. The upper age limit is relaxable for SC / ST / OBC / PH and women candidates as per rules.
