CSIR– Central Food Technological Research Institute is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial research (CSIR), New Delhi. It came into existence during 1950 with the great vision of its founders, and a network of inspiring as well as dedicated scientists who had a fascination to pursue in-depth research and development in the areas of food science and technology.
It wishes to recruit an eligible candidate as a Project Assistant (Level-II) on a temporary contractual basis in a research project at the Department of Lipid Science.

Project Title:Functional characterization of rice bran lipases, a comprehensive data for rice bran lipid metabolizing Enzymes (GAP-484)
Eligibility:
- First class M.Sc/M.Tech in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/molecular biology/Life Sciences/ Bioinformatics or equivalent degree with good academic records.
- Experience in Lipid Metabolism, molecular biology, animal Cell Culture and Bioinformatics preferable.
Emoluments: A consolidated salary of Rs. 12,000/- per month
Tenure: Five Year Project (The initial appointment will be for one year and will be annually extended based on satisfactory performance of the fellow).
Terms and conditions:
- Candidates should not have exceeded 28 years of age as on the last date of receiving the applications. Age relaxation as applicable by Gov. of India rules for SC/ST/OBC and women candidates will be considered.
- The engagement of PA-II is exclusively for the above mentioned project.
- The engagement will be contractual and on purely temporary basis.
- The engagement under the externally funded project does not confer any right/ claim whatsoever either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR-CFTRI, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions precedent.
- No TA/DA will be given to the candidates for attending the interview.
- If already the candidate is working in CSIR-CFTRI “No objection certificate” from the PI is mandatory at the time of interview.
