Banaras Hindu University is a public central university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, BHU is one of the largest residential universities in Asia. BHU is organised into 4 institutes and 14 faculties (streams) and more than 140 departments.
Applications are invited for highly motivated individuals for the post of Research associate (RA)/ Senior Research Fellow (SRF).
Position Title: Research Associate (RA) /Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Project Title:" Microbial Control of Soil Respiration and its response to increasing atmospheric temperature and CO2 level" sponsored by CSIR.
Tenure of the Project: 3 years
Tenure of the Post: The appointment will be on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project.
Essential Qualifications:
For RA:
Candidates should have MSc in Environmental Science/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology with at least 55% marks and PhD in relevant area with research publications in standard referred journals.
Age: Below 35 years
For SRF:
Candidates should have MSc in Environmental Science/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology with at least 55% marks and at least 2 years of post MSc research experience as evidenced from published papers in standard referred journals.
Age: Below 32 years
Age relaxxation is applicable to SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women and Physically handicapped candidates as per CSIRnorms.
Desirable Skills: Research experience in molecular ecology and rhizosphere biology
