Arunkumar, Professor and Head, Department of Virus Research, Manipal University, Manipal.
1. Name of the Post : Project Administrator

Role /Objectives: Implementation, evaluation, administration, other related activities of the proposed project in the various field sites and at coordinating centre at DVR, MU Coordination of all activities related to the project, preparation of progress and financial reports.
Planning and supervision of the training programmes.
Organising stakeholders meetings Involves extensive travel to various project sites across India.
Educational Qualification: PhD in Epidemiology or DrPH or MPH Epidemiology Experience PhD in Epidemiology /Dr.PH with 2 year experience. Working in international or national public health programmes OR MPH in Epidemiology with 5 years in managing public health research projects, Working in international or national public health programmes.
Duration: Initially till September 2016. But may be extended up to September 2018 subjected to performance and availability of funds.
Emoluments: Consolidated pay of INR 70,000/month.
2. Name of the Post: Specialist- Entomologist

Role /Objectives: Coordinating entomological activities related to the project, assist in outbreak investigations.
Educational Qualification: MSc. Medical Entomology/MSc Entomology/MSc Zoology with entomology specialization.
Experience: 2 year experience in entomological research/Surveillance.
Duration: Initially till September 2016. But may be extended up to September 2018 subjected to performance and availability of funds.
Emoluments Consolidated pay of INR 40,000/month.
3. Name of the Post Specialist- Epidemiologist

Role /Objectives: Assist in outbreak investigations Assist PI and project administrator in preparation of reports
Educational Qualification: MPH
Experience: 2 year experience in public health research/surveillance/epidemio

4. Name of the Post :Research Assistant
No. of Posts: 21
Job Site: Manipal, Udupi, Karnataka
Role /Objectives: Coordination of case recruitment and data collection in the designated field station and/or laboratory work at DVR, MU. The period of field posting may vary from 3 months to 9 months at a time and is subjected to relocation in short notice.
Educational Qualification: MSc Microbiology/MPH/ MSc Biochemistry/ MSc Biotechnology/ BVsc Or a Master’s degree in the field of various branches of Life Sciences Experience Exposure to diagnostic virology/Microbiology laboratory or public health surveillance system inclusive of post graduate training period is preferred Duration Initially till September 2016. But may be extended up to September 2018 subjected to performance and availability of funds.

5. Name of the Post :Data Manager

Educational Qualification: MSc Microbiology Or a Master’s degree in the field of various branches of Life Sciences
Experience: Exposure to diagnostic virology/Microbiology laboratory or public health surveillance system inclusive of training period and/or Medical records handling preferred. Duration Initially till September 2016. But may be extended up to September 2018 subjected to performance and availability of funds.

6. Name of the Post: Training Associate

Role /Objectives: Coordinate with training manager in all the trainings conducted at MCVR Conducting periodic internal training workshops for different category of staffs in MCVR
Educational Qualification: MSc Microbiology
Experience: Experience in organizing workshops/training programmes etc. Good communication skills.
Duration: Initially till September 2016. But may be extended up to September 2018 subjected to performance and availability of funds.
